Alternative sources of funding

• Charity Excellence is a free online toolkit for charities and non-profit organisations.

• Europa Gateway to the European Union has information about European Union funding opportunities.

• Lottery Good Causes, for information on National Lottery funding.
• Christian Funders Forum is a group of Christian grant-making trusts and foundations.

Information

• Association of Charitable Foundations is the membership body for UK foundations and grant-making charities.
• Directory of Social Change publishes a wide range of specialist guides for grant seekers. This organisation also runs subscription websites giving information about trust and foundation funding, government funding and company giving.
• Church of England Archbishop's Housing Commission report on Housing needs.
• Joseph Rowntree Foundation Poverty Report 2020/21 annual report on the nature and scale of poverty across the UK, and how it affects people struggling to stay afloat.

• The Cranfield Trust provides free management consultancy for charities and social enterprise groups involved in issues of poverty, disability or social exclusion.
• The Worshipful Company of Information Technologists set up the IT4Communities programme to help charities find volunteers to help with their IT needs.
• The Worshipful Company of Management Consultants provides mentoring and consulting services to Chairs and Chief Executives of smaller charities.
