NEW PROGRAMME OPEN – Deadline 31st
March 2009
TACKLING HOMELESSNESS ACROSS THE GENERATIONS IN BRISTOL
through
family and parenting support
ACT invites applications from voluntary organisations that
work in Bristol, and that are able to address the needs of homeless
families in the following ways.
Overall Aims of the programme
To develop new approaches that promote stronger family
relationships and parenting skills with homeless families, including
teenage mums and dads.
To promote practical working links and sign-posting
between agencies supporting homeless families and organisations that
promote unstigmatised and empowering parenting and family support.
To build up evidence for preventative work and whole
family approaches in relation to work with homeless families.
In all that we do, we seek to work with people who have innovative, sustainable and
replicable solutions that meet human needs in the
UK. Whilst we operate from a Christian faith
and values standpoint, we are keen to stress that we support work for and
with all faiths and also those with none.
To utilise our limited resources we work with only 2 or
3 partners a year, and mainly do so via grant support. In this way we believe
that we can make our unique contribution to the work of key organisations who,
in that work, impact upon many of the world's most disadvantaged people. more >
